"Evolution?" Snoke and Jessica Jones were taken aback.

"Yes, evolution." Luke said softly, "I think you've heard of the military's Super Soldier Program, right?"

Snoke nodded. Jessica Jones, standing beside him, listened intently to their conversation.

"Although it was an abandoned project deemed a failure, to be fair, it still had quite a few worthwhile aspects." Luke gave it an impartial assessment. Unreliable as the project had been, it had indeed produced several remarkably good finished products. "Evolution of the human body is one kind. Evolution of machinery is another. Naturally, I want both."

"Like it?" Snoke's gaze fell on the little monkey inside the metal enclosure, which had reverted from metal to flesh and blood and now looked somewhat listless.
