Being chased down and beaten by Sun Wukong was humiliating enough, but what enraged him even more was that only twenty-two of his Twenty-Four Buddhist Kingdoms remained. This had weakened the power of his three corpses by a fraction, and it was impossible to replenish them!
Because the twenty-four Sea-Stabilizing Divine Pearls were a set. There could never be replacements.

"Amitabha. Great Sage, your strength is astounding. You defeated three Bodhisattvas of the Buddhist Sect with three punches. Now, the three of us have come to experience your prowess."
As Tathagata Buddha spoke, his hands did not stop moving.
Terrifying Buddhist Sect divine abilities struck directly toward Great Sage Sun.
Behind him, Dipankara Ancient Buddha, the Past Buddha, also unleashed the same Buddhist Sect divine abilities.
