First Meeting at Shrek Academy (Part 2)

After spending ten minutes washing both Dragon Horses clean, Li Fu waited until the smell had dissipated before using Soul Power to shape a flight of golden steps for Huang Tian and the other two to climb aboard.

"You go up first. I'll open the Spatial Tunnel."

"Alright."

Liu Erlong and Tang Yuehua were the first to board the carriage and take their seats inside the cabin.

With a wave of Huang Tian's hand, a Spatial Tunnel five meters tall and ten meters wide appeared in the plaza. Only then did he step up the Soul Power stairs and enter the carriage cabin.

"Set off."

The three arrived at the plaza and stopped five meters from the carriage. Flender placed his right hand over his left shoulder, bowed, and said, "I am Flender, the dean of this academy. May I ask why our distinguished guests have come today?"

"Visiting friends."

A mature woman's voice came from inside the carriage.

"That voice sounds like Er Long's. Is she inside the carriage?" Flender froze upon hearing it. He had not seen Liu Erlong for twenty years, yet her voice had remained etched in his heart. In a trembling voice, he asked, "Er Long, is that you?"

The carriage curtain was suddenly lifted, and a tall woman dressed in a fitted black outfit stepped out. She smiled at Flender. "Boss Flender, it's been twenty years. Have you been well?"

When Flender saw Liu Erlong step out of the carriage, he said in shock, "Er Long, it really is you. So many years have passed—have you been well?"

Flender directly grabbed Yu Xiaogang and turned him around. "Xiaogang, Er Long is here. Are you not going to say anything?"

Yu Xiaogang slowly raised his head and looked at Liu Erlong standing before him. Twenty years had passed, yet she was still as beautiful as ever, her personality still as bold and passionate. It was just that twenty years ago, when they had planned to marry, his second uncle had come and revealed Er Long's background. Only then had he learned that the woman he loved was actually his cousin. Liu Erlong had been forcibly taken away by his second uncle, and the wedding had fallen through without another word.

Because of that incident twenty years ago, he had remained unmarried for the rest of his life. Every day, he studied martial souls, seeking a way to break through the twenty-ninth rank of Soul Grandmaster. He had been despondent for many years, until seven years ago, when he encountered Tang San, who possessed Twin Martial Souls, at Nuoding City Junior Soul Master Academy. To verify his theories, he pulled himself together and taught Tang San all kinds of knowledge, all so that once Tang San had grown stronger, he could find a method of breaking through from him.

Yu Xiaogang had never imagined that he would see Liu Erlong, the cousin he had once loved, again. What he had not expected was that while he did not go looking for Liu Erlong, Liu Erlong had come looking for him instead.

"E-Er Long... Er Long, it's been a long time." Yu Xiaogang greeted her haltingly, his heart pounding violently. His heart was far from calm at that moment, and he feared that Liu Erlong would question why he had not gone looking for her all these years.

After seeing Yu Xiaogang, much of Liu Erlong's former longing and worry faded away. Seeing that he was still alive and well was enough for her. She was married now and needed to draw a line between herself and the past.
