Wax Blocks and a New CG

After getting a basic understanding of Warfire, Rogue turned his attention to the ability unlocked by this advancement—Replenish Wax Blocks.

Rogue walked over to the Spirit Candle, crouched down, and reached out to touch the candle flame.

Before long, wax oil was consumed, and an inexplicable power appeared within his Candle Spirit Physique.

It consumes wax oil again. Two drops of wax oil to fully replenish it...

Forget it...

He had originally planned to take a cut, but after thinking it over, he decided against it. Replenish Wax Blocks would be a huge help to the players' exploration, so there was no need to be overly stingy here.

He then stood up.

He held out his right hand and saw that a bracelet had appeared around his wrist. Three red crystal-like blocks were arranged on it.

He removed another block and put it into his mouth. This time, it tasted refreshingly sweet, and the sensation it gave his body was like drinking ice water after eating mint—clear-headed and invigorated.

"Blue mana potion." Rogue shrugged, then removed another one and put it into his mouth. As he chewed, he muttered, "It can restore Spiritual Power and faith... and it tastes pretty good."

"With these Replenish Wax Blocks, those little leeks probably won't have to miserably gnaw on salted fish and crabs anymore..."

Rogue smiled, then checked the time.

It was still early. There was no rush.

Next, he began exploring the finer changes brought about by the Spirit Candle's advancement, as well as the various improvements to Warfire.

Besides that, he also had to draft an update announcement...

The players' information interface needs some changes too. Dodge should probably have its own separate entry alongside Replenish Wax Blocks...

Rogue thought silently.

He was still exploring the Spirit Candle's powers himself. He did not yet understand every aspect of them.

After taking a look at the Spirit Candle Forum, Rogue did not know whether to laugh or cry.

...Forget it. I'll give them some CG to satisfy their cravings first.

This was not difficult for Rogue.

The Spirit Candle had a memory function. He only needed to convert and arrange those memories. The CG the players had seen when they first entered the game had been made this way.

Because of the maintenance downtime, the players could not enter the game, yet they had no desire to play other games.

As a result, the Spirit Candle Forum was more active than ever. This group of players had practically turned it into a real-time chat group...

The little players were anxiously scratching their heads and pacing in circles on the forum.

Since virtual reality technology had become a reality, most games and social software had begun shifting their battlegrounds there. The content available through VR helmets had grown increasingly abundant, and it did not interfere with sleep or rest. Many people had already grown accustomed to sleeping with their helmets on.

For office workers, this was practically a blessing from heaven!

Mom would never have to worry about me staying up late to play games again. I could just sleep while playing all night!

Still, the quality of most games left much to be desired.

That made Spirit Candle uniquely appealing to players. Some would rather linger on the Spirit Candle Forum than play other games.

Just as the players were actively pouring out their grievances on the forum, a post from Spirit Candle Official brought their discussion to an abrupt halt.

"Holy crap? Isn't that me? Hahaha! I made it into the CG!"

Seeing a figure flash past in one of the scenes, Li Miao froze for a moment before bursting into wild laughter, thrilled beyond measure.

But before he could laugh for long, darkness gradually swallowed his vision.

Then, Flame slowly lit up, and a small blaze flickered within the darkness...

The next moment, a broad hand clenched fiercely.

At the same time, the scene smoothly shifted to a muscular arm holding a spear.

Whoosh—

The spear flew out, tearing through the air with an explosive boom and blasting a huge hole into the shore!

"Damn... isn't that the Mudflat Merman beach? But it seems a little different..."

"Wait... is that a Candle Keeper?"

As the perspective shifted, Li Miao finally saw the person who had thrown the spear.

After meeting his gaze, the Candle Keeper turned and walked toward the cave, gradually disappearing into the darkness, leaving behind only his back.
