"It's fine, as long as there's something!" Landfall's eyes lit up at once. These were all items from a special storyline—ordinary value couldn't measure them.
As he spoke, his hands moved quickly as well, taking one item after another from Ryan.
"Why the hell are you so shameless?" Li Miao kicked him irritably. He made it sound as though they had come here expecting repayment from the very beginning.
But thinking about it carefully... players really were the sort who never got out of bed without profit to chase.
Fortunately, Ryan did not mind in the slightest. On the contrary, seeing that the things he had given them satisfied them made him happy.
"Oh, right. I have one more thing to give you."
Ryan pulled several scale-like objects from his pouch again and handed one to each of the three.
"This can't be used in battle. It can only serve as a keepsake."
"Channel the power of Warfire into it, then close your eyes. After a while, you'll see some wonderful sights."
"That should be my happiest memory."
Ryan sighed wistfully.
But he soon heard Chief Yasum urging him again.
"All right, Ryan. It's time to go."
Chief Yasum seemed unwilling to let Ryan continue talking with the three of them.
Upon hearing that, Ryan bid them farewell.
"All right, my friends. I have to go."
"I hope we'll have another chance to meet."
He smiled at the three of them, and his figure vanished amid the bonfire's flames.
Without Ryan's Signal Wax sustaining them, the three returned to Candlewood Island once more.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Li Miao frowned. His intuition told him that Chief Yasum was not quite what he claimed to be.
But he could not put his finger on exactly what was wrong.
