Alicia Marcus was the daughter of James Marcus, one of Umbrella Corporation's founders in the Movie Version of Resident Evil. He was also the true developer of the T-Virus.

It had to be said that the Movie Version's finale of Resident Evil had practically kicked all its previous settings into a stinking ditch. But Yinsen did not care about any of that. What he cared about was that Alicia Marcus was one of Umbrella Corporation's higher-ups and the true "original" of Alice, this world's female protagonist.

After the Red Queen said that she had awakened Alicia, Yinsen quietly waited for Alicia to arrive.

At the same time, Alice learned of her own "origins."

"I'm actually a clone?"

"So we need to wake Doctor Isaacs?" Yinsen frowned. "And guard against him making a desperate last stand."

"Leave that to us. I'll make him regret still being alive in this world."

The mercenaries willingly took on the task. In truth, they had done jobs like this countless times. The only troublesome part was that Doctor Isaacs had greater authority over the Red Queen. If they could not resolve the issue with the Red Queen, everyone in the base could be killed at any time by that "mischievous little girl."

"Then there's no other choice. Tell me where the Red Queen's Main Control Room is."

"Wait." Alicia stopped Yinsen. "If we destroy the Red Queen, we may face Umbrella Corporation's endless retaliation."

James, who had been preparing to go with Yinsen to blow up the Red Queen's Main Control Room, stopped as well upon hearing that.

That was right. They were stopping a disaster capable of destroying the world, but they could not ignore another fact: Umbrella Corporation, this massive behemoth, still existed intact, and it was controlled by a group of clones who knew nothing of the actual situation.

What they were doing now effectively placed them in opposition to Umbrella Corporation. They would be hunted down as enemies who had discovered the corporation's greatest secret.

If they kept the Red Queen's Main Control Room intact, perhaps they could avoid that situation? Besides, Alicia was the daughter of one of the founders. The Red Queen's Main Control Room could at least prove her true identity. With a high-ranking figure protecting them, they should be able to avoid an ending worthy of tragic heroes.

"Then what do we do?"

The Red Queen was blown up just like that, so easily that Yinsen began to wonder whether something was wrong.

Indeed, if Alicia had not ordered the Red Queen to deliberately leave clues for Alice in the original movie, no one would likely have known that such a massive secret base was hidden beneath The Hive.

A place considered absolutely safe naturally had weaker internal defenses.

That made everything afterward much simpler. With the Red Queen destroyed, the base's control shifted from automatic to manual. Together, they woke these lofty Umbrella Corporation executives one by one, with Doctor Isaacs, the final boss, coming last.

Doctor Isaacs carried himself with great authority, but before the violent soldiers, all airs were meaningless. They had him beaten into doubting his own life within minutes.

The others were much the same. These people, accustomed to lives of luxury, simply could not endure the mercenaries' various methods.

Not only did they obtain the vital virus antidote, they also received an unexpected surprise: not all these higher-ups were fools. Once the world-ending plan was complete and they emerged, they would naturally need to reclaim their identities. They also had to prevent accidents from waking them prematurely, so many had prepared methods of controlling their clones.

"Good. With these 'hostages,' your safety should be guaranteed to some extent."

Over the following days, everyone hid in the Underground Secret Base. The awakened higher-ups began using their concealed methods to reclaim their identities and "replace" their clones. Then they returned to Umbrella Corporation and continued serving as pillars of society.

The mercenaries who had reached an "agreement" with the higher-ups also left one after another, and the Underground Base gradually grew empty.
