Chatting casually with Scáthach along the way, Yinsen soon arrived at the Moon Goddess's cockpit.
Because he spent most of his time either running around outside or staying on the island, Yinsen sometimes genuinely forgot that his home was actually a starship sailing through the vast universe.
Through the front window, he could see the boundless universe, pitch-black and dotted with points of light. Though the ship was traveling at nearly the speed of light, standing there for a while gave him the feeling that it had never moved at all.
In the end, space was simply too vast. The distance between planets alone was enough to drive an ordinary civilization to despair.
The distances between stellar systems were even more terrifying.
Yinsen walked to the front, leaned against the railing before him, and glanced at Logan nearby.
Logan had been on duty in the cockpit lately, while Nebula and Hill were resting.
"Before long, I'm going to visit Diana. This time, we should be able to establish a stable passage between the two worlds... Speaking of which, because of the Time Flow Rate, who knows how much time has passed over there. Do you want to go back and take a look?"
Logan was comfortably puffing away at his smoke. Though he was on duty in the cockpit, there was usually nothing to do. Even if something unexpected happened, such as a large meteor appearing along their route, Luna could handle it on her own.
The reason he was willing to stay here was that it was quiet. Looking at the endless cosmic starfield made him feel calm, but Yinsen's question shattered that peace today.
"Are you finally preparing to establish the connection?"
A year had passed in the blink of an eye. Logan had struggled with the matter
