There were currently four surviving Saiyans in total, not counting characters outside the original manga: Son Goku's older brother Raditz, Planet Vegeta's Prince Vegeta, and Vegeta's follower Nappa.
The last was Kakarot, who had been sent to Earth with the mission of wiping out all civilization and Intelligent Life on the planet, only to lose his memory in an accident and undergo a drastic change in personality. That was the Son Goku standing before them.
There was no way to explain the situation in detail, so Yinsen could only brush it off with a simple explanation, saying that several Saiyans had been among Frieza's subordinates when he attacked his home planet.
As for which ones they were, Yinsen did not elaborate! They could fill in the blanks themselves later.
"So that's how it is? I'm actually an alien?"
Son Goku did not think too deeply about it. He simply found it amazing that he had finally learned where he came from, only to discover that he was an alien.
Since much of what Yinsen had said lacked detail, everyone, including Bulma, assumed that Son Goku had escaped Planet Vegeta as a refugee when disaster struck. No one connected it to an invasion of Earth.
"And the Guardian and King Piccolo were aliens too..."
They had absolutely no concept of what Namekians were, but clever Krillin thought of something else.
"If the Guardian is a Namekian, does that mean Planet Namek has Dragon Balls too?"
The Dragon Balls had been created by the Guardian. From the information they had received earlier, they knew that no such thing had existed on Earth before the current Guardian took office. That could be explained by saying that this technology, or perhaps ability, had been brought over from Planet Namek.
