(Extra chapter for brother "Sakurababy" [5/5])
Kilrogg Deadeye was one of the older legendary chieftains among the great clans of surviving orc civilization, and one of the most powerful chieftains ever produced by the Bleeding Hollow Clan.
He belonged to the same generation as Ner'zhul, as well as Matron Geyah, guardian of Nagrand's sacred mountain, and her late husband Garad, the previous chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan. By orcish standards, Kilrogg had already entered the twilight of his life. However, thanks to the Bleeding Hollow orcs' unique Blood Moon Ritual, the savage power he possessed had not declined too noticeably.
Otherwise, by the orcs' classic tradition of the strong overthrowing the weak, some hotheaded youngster eager to make a name for himself would have challenged him long ago.
The inheritance of orcish chieftains had always been this savage. Aside from a few conservative clans such as the Frostwolf Clan, Blackrock Clan, and Shadowmoon Clan, the position of chieftain in every other clan had always belonged to the strong.
Well, speaking of that, there was a secret that even many veteran Highlords did not know.
The Warsong Clan, which dominated the Nagrand grasslands, had once been among the orcs' conservatives. Their clan inheritance emphasized proper order between superior and inferior. Yet the rise to power of the current Warsong chieftain, Grom Hellscream, had shattered that tradition.
It was said that the death of the previous Warsong chieftain, Gormash Hellscream, had been rather suspicious.
In any case, after one chaotic night, Grom Hellscream, who originally had absolutely nothing to do with the chieftain's position, obtained Gorehowl, the "proof of chieftainship" battle axe, and became the new chieftain of the Warsong Clan through sheer strength.
From then on, the Warsong Clan also gained the new tradition of "the strong are king." (PS1)
