The very first second Diakum stepped into Zereth Mortis, before he could even appreciate the scenery he had been sick of looking at in his previous life, a cry of pain rang out beside him.
He turned around to see Azshara, Medivh, and the Nether-Stalker collapse to the ground at almost the exact same frequency and with identical movements, like the Lord of Shadows. What was more, all three cried out in the exact same voice.
That was clearly abnormal.
The other Broker scholars of the Cipher Society showed similar bewildered reactions, though none were as severe as the three of them.
"The sound... the melody. Can you hear it? The melody drifting through this place. The pulse of the universe. The truth of all things becoming one. That chord... the knowledge and truth left behind by the First Ones are here. It is calling to us!"
Diakum pulled Azshara and Medivh to their feet. The two still maintained their "same-frequency" rhythm, speaking in unison about things that sounded utterly deranged.
The Vigilant frowned and slapped Medivh across the face twice.
