When Diakum twisted open the red wooden door that had appeared in the dawn, he unsurprisingly found himself in a strange place.
His landing point was aboard a ship.
What kind of ship was it?
It was entirely black and steeped in ominousness. In Diakum's eyes, it displayed two utterly different forms. Beneath its mysterious exterior that obscured everything, the ship was majestic and imposing, like the perfect medieval sailing warship. Mysterious and luxurious reliefs adorned every corner, while its broad deck was scrubbed spotless. With all sails unfurled, its hull cut steadily through the waves like a floating island at sea.
It seemed to exude an exceedingly mysterious and dignified aura.
However, such little tricks could not fool the Lord of Dawn's Eye of Truth, which had reached perfection.
With a blink, he saw that beneath that splendid exterior lurked a ghost ship wreathed in chilling winds, haunted by wandering souls, and saturated with deathly energy—a starving monster in ship form.
Once the illusion had been dispelled, Diakum could even smell the ship's malice and fear.
Like a living creature, it stared at the uninvited guest as though he were food, yet it also feared the dawnlight surrounding Diakum. To such vile things, that radiance which pierced the darkness was their eternal nemesis.
The Vigilant did not immediately draw the Dawn God-Sword and destroy this malice-filled ghost ship. After all, the vessel was currently sailing through the "sea of stars," surrounded by boundless galaxies. Strange energy vortices battered it like less-than-friendly waves. If he lost this vessel, he would be forced to cross this completely unfamiliar astral realm in the flesh.
