Isshiki and Komachi had only met once at the Joint Prom, so they had not known each other long. Talking about people they both knew was the quickest way to close the distance. Badmouthing others together and developing a sense of complicity was the secret to building a bond!
Still, given Komachi's personality, she could probably handle that part just fine.
Despite being my little sister, Komachi had extremely high social skills. Even when meeting someone for the first time, whether they were older or younger than her, she could warmly find all sorts of opportunities to strike up a conversation. One summer vacation, when we went to Chiba Village, everyone around her had been older, yet Komachi had still managed to get along with everyone, including the younger sister of that Kawasaki girl—Kyoka Kawasaki. No matter who she faced, she could close the distance with anyone. Truly, she was the little sister of the world.
Even now, Komachi had left me off to the side and was fully focused on chatting with Yuihama and the others.
"It's so great that we got to meet up with Komachi!"
"No, no, Komachi's the one who should be happy you all invited her!"
Yuihama waved with a smile, and Komachi clapped her hands together. The two of them chatted away cheerfully.
Oh, I see. I had been thinking that running into each other in such a huge venue was one terrifying coincidence, but judging from the way those two spoke, it seemed perfectly normal. Thinking back on it, Komachi had suggested taking a break outside. That was probably just an excuse—her real goal had been to meet up with them... Just as I was about to reach that conclusion, I noticed something.
"Huh? Nobody invited me."
Why? Why skip over the shut-in
