Background / History

As a child, Yuihama rescued a calico cat from a drain and secretly cared for it. She befriended another girl who also wanted to help, but feared telling her parents about the cat. When it vanished, Yuihama eventually stopped searching; she later believed it may have hidden itself while nearing death. A visit to a cat café helps her confront the loss and find closure. 651 652
