Mount Tai, also known as Dai Mountain, Dai Ancestor, Dai Mountain, Eastern Mountain, and Tai Mountain, was located in central SD Province under the jurisdiction of TA City. It stretched between the three cities of Tai'an, Jinan, and ZB, covering a total area of 24,200 hectares.
Its main peak, Jade Emperor Peak, stood at an elevation of 1,545 meters. Majestic and imposing, it was known as the "Head of the Five Mountains," the "Eldest of the Five Mountains," and "Number One Under Heaven Mountain."
The Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu once wrote: "What is Dai Ancestor like? The green of Qi-Lu stretches without end. Creation gathers all divine beauty here; yin and yang divide dusk from dawn. Layered clouds stir the heart; straining eyes follow returning birds. One day I shall climb the highest peak and see all other mountains as small."
After reaching Jade Emperor Peak atop Mount Tai, everyone gazed at the clouds and mist drifting through the mountains and could not help thinking, As expected of Number One Under Heaven Mountain. It's so towering and majestic. Humanity truly is too insignificant between heaven and earth.
