He no longer urged her to cultivate, nor did he patiently lecture her about grand principles. No one dragged her out of bed for morning runs anymore, and no one threatened her into going to sleep early at night. She had returned to that carefree, unrestrained life where no one controlled her.
Logically, she should have felt relieved, but for some reason, she inexplicably felt stifled inside.
Opening her eyes, Yu Fang stared blankly at the ceiling above her.
Going by their usual routine, he would have come to drag her out of bed with a dark expression by now. After supervising her through washing up, he would pull her along for a morning run around the Island, claiming it would cure her of her laziness.
Then, after the run, he would shove her into the bathroom to bathe while he tied on an apron and busied himself in the kitchen. By the time she slowly emerged from the bathroom, towel in hand as she dried her hair, the breakfast he had made would inevitably be laid out on the table.
After breakfast, he would usually guide her cultivation, using all sorts of methods to help her perceive the mysteries of Time and Space so that she could master those two authorities sooner... such as creating some Time and Space artifact or an illusory trial.
However, because of her outright refusal to cooperate and her habit of pretending to comply while doing the opposite, the Island would usually be thrown into chaos at this time.
