"Eleven intruders. Ten are about the same. The last one seems a bit stronger."

Mo Shuying exited the police station and immediately dismissed Madman's Pride, activating Presence Concealment. His aura rapidly faded, causing the monsters rushing toward the station to lose their target.

As for Mo Shuying, he could roughly sense the monsters' positions and auras. This feeling was unique—as if he had formed a connection with the surrounding space. The Singularity he was guarding was helping him lock onto the monsters' locations.

This state of being hidden while the enemy was exposed was extremely advantageous for Mo Shuying. This must be the Way of the Assassin.

"Spiders? Such huge spiders!"

Two kilometers wasn't a long distance. Mo Shuying quickly discovered the true forms of these intruders.

They were giant spiders, each the size of a small dog, like little millstones. Their bodies were pitch black, their compound eyes blood red. They scaled walls and ceilings, constantly searching for something.

Mo Shuying knew these spiders were looking for him—or more precisely, the Class Card inside him.

The sole goal of the monsters invading this world was to kill him, seize the card, absorb the geomantic veins, and become powerful Geomantic Beasts.

When these spiders first appeared, they could sense Mo Shuying's location. But now they couldn't perceive him at all and could only search blindly.

Their leader, a large spider a meter tall, slowly walked down the street, saliva dripping from its mouth, corroding small pits into the solid ground.

"Did this big guy grow this big by eating magic fertilizer?"

Mo Shuying grumbled inwardly from his hiding spot. He didn't act rashly, because he didn't know how strong these spiders really were.

He was only Level 1 right now. If these spiders had high levels, charging in recklessly would only get him killed. So—

He needed to test them first!

Mo Shuying glanced at the sporting goods store beside him, a plan forming in his mind.

Zzz...

Wolf Spider One discovered a dark alley. Its red eyes could ignore darkness and see human body heat. It scanned once, found nothing, and was about to leave.

A faint but crisp sound suddenly rang out in the alley. Wolf Spider One paused, then turned to look deeper inside.

The sound came from the depths. On alert, it moved its eight legs into the alley, reaching the end to find a crushed can.

"That's it? Not strong at all. Looks like this A+ Presence Concealment is amazing—it didn't even notice me right next to it."

Mo Shuying revealed himself from behind the wolf spider. Presence Concealment could hide his aura, but it automatically deactivated when he attacked, something he couldn't control.

But he could just reactivate it afterward. Mo Shuying flicked the sticky fluid off the baseball bat, glanced at the disappearing wolf spider, felt a flicker of surprise, but kept moving. He quickly left the alley, because soon the other wolf spiders would gather here.

Sure enough, after their comrade's death and Mo Shuying's aura appeared, the remaining wolf spiders swarmed toward the spot. They soon found their fallen comrade's remains—but by the time they arrived, not even ash was left on the ground.

Hiss! Hiss!

The massive wolf spider leader shoved its underlings aside, looked at the ground, then stabbed its front claw through the crushed can, letting out an angry screech. The other nine wolf spiders heard it and immediately scattered.

Not far away, Mo Shuying watched through his Binoculars, a smirk curling at the corner of his mouth.

"Come on, come on. Watch me pick you off one by one."

From the sneak attack test just now, Mo Shuying found that these wolf spiders weren't very strong—at least, they couldn't withstand his ambushes.

That made things easy. Who was he?

An Assassin! Professional skill: ambush is nothing to be ashamed of!

On his home turf, he had to make sure these intruders who dared to come—never went back!

And so—

Bam! Bam! Bam!

A guerrilla ambush campaign began. Mo Shuying moved like a phantom, appearing everywhere. As mentioned before, he could clearly sense the enemy's location while they couldn't find him. This state was pure torture for the wolf spiders.

Half an hour later, five more small wolf spiders had been killed. These five not only contributed 25 EXP to Mo Shuying but also dropped a small item.

Web Orb: A one-time throwable item. Upon impact with an object, it expands into a sticky web that lasts up to 30 minutes.

"It drops items too? Is this really Type-Moon?"

Staring at the white orb in his hand, Mo Shuying was bewildered. It felt like he was playing some online game—kill monsters, level up, gear drops from kills...

Though confused, getting drops was even better. Mo Shuying quickly convinced himself to accept reality and continued his ambushes.

But after half an hour of stealth assassinations, the wolf spiders seemed to have learned their lesson. The remaining four small wolf spiders all clustered around the Wolf Spider Leader. The leader itself didn't dare act recklessly, guarded by its four underlings as it slowly searched.

"Too cowardly."

Mo Shuying sneered at the Wolf Spider Leader's behavior. If you're this spineless, why even bother stirring up trouble? Did it look down on him, an Assassin?

"Since you don't dare to come, then let me take over."

Mo Shuying glanced at an Izakaya by the roadside, let out a cold laugh, then walked inside. When he came back out, he was carrying two homemade Molotov Cocktails in his hands.

The Wolf Spider Leader was in a state of extreme agitation right now—this was unbearable! It had charged in with ten of its subordinates, full of ambition, ready to kill the Guardian and seize the vein.

But who would have guessed? Over half an hour had passed, and it still had no idea where the Guardian was, and six of its underlings were already dead!

Looking at the only four mangy remnants left by its side, the Wolf Spider Leader was panicking. It didn't think these four subordinates could protect it at all.

And just as the Wolf Spider Leader's mind was racing with thoughts—

A flaming wine bottle came flying in fast!

The Wolf Spider Leader had never seen anything like this before, but it still recognized an ambush. This had to be that damned Guardian! Nothing but a despicable schemer using underhanded tricks! Shameless!

The Wolf Spider Leader let out an angry hiss, its football-sized head lifting directly to spit out a stream of venom!

The venom shot out like an arrow, exploding the wine bottle midair, and then—

Then the high-proof alcohol inside, now scattered, was ignited by the flames, turning into a wide rain of fire that fell onto the five wolf spiders. In an instant, the five spiders were writhing and jumping all over the place, scorched by the flames, running around like headless flies.

Not far away, Mo Shuying silently gave the Wolf Spider Leader a thumbs-up.

"Brave! I was actually worried the bottle was too thick to break. You really cooperated, huh."

While praising it, Mo Shuying lit the other homemade Molotov Cocktail and hurled it with all his strength.
