It was the story of a tech geek who hacked into cameras to spy on people.
A Fei had spied on a female streamer. After she ended her stream, he secretly recorded her changing clothes.
One day, the streamer actually realized what was happening, but she had no idea how to handle it. She did not know who was spying on her.
She simply removed all the cameras in her home.
Even so, the cameras on her phone and computer kept her under constant surveillance.
One day, the streamer met the fan who had spent the most money on her. He insisted they meet at a hotel. She sensed something was wrong, but after accepting so much of his money, she went anyway.
During their encounter, she repeatedly called for help, but no one came. Finally, looking at the camera the fan had set up nearby to record everything, she remembered the person who regularly spied on her.
She began pleading into the camera for help.
On the other side of that camera, A Fei... really did see it.
But he did not help her.
This happened on the eve of the apocalypse, before order in the city had completely collapsed.
Not long afterward, the woman slit her wrists and killed herself.
For several days afterward, A Fei did not spy on her, because he felt guilty. But if he called the police, he would have to explain how he knew, wouldn't he?
Hacking into all those cameras... had long since made him a criminal.
