Jiraiya led Konoha’s troops into Graystone Town, where an old man offered to reveal a hidden basement in exchange for medicine for his dying granddaughter. Jiraiya followed him underground and discovered barrels of nitroglycerin, but the old man ignited them before Jiraiya could act.

  • Jiraiya rejected Hyuga Mae’s proposal to kill Graystone Town’s civilians and offered them rations for information about Amegakure Ninja.
