Before Sean could make out what it was, his hand touched an icy-cold handle.
There was no time to let go. Sean immediately felt as though something had tugged behind his navel, like a hook had caught him and was pulling with irresistible force.
Sean's feet left the ground, and he shot forward through howling wind and swirling colors, all alone.
Instinctively, he gripped the object in his hand tightly. The wind was so strong he could not even open his eyes.
Suddenly, Sean felt his legs go weak, and he crashed onto the cold ground.
"Shit..." Still dizzy, Sean muttered a curse, then forced himself to his feet despite the spinning world and gripped his wand tightly.
"Dave, are you still there?"
"Have you eaten?"
Only after receiving the Swooping Evil's thought did Sean relax slightly.
Then he saw the thing that had carried him away.
It was an enlarged goblet. A dragon-shaped handle clasped the rim, while blue-white flames danced within its translucent, jewel-crafted walls.
Even though he had never seen it in person, Sean recognized it at once.
The Triwizard Cup.
This was the magical relic used to select Champions for the Triwizard Tournament. Of course, it was now the Four-School Tournament.
The crucial point was that it was also a Portkey.
So... the Triwizard Cup had transported him here...
Sean narrowed his eyes. He had not forgotten that Newmontgard had taken home the last Triwizard Cup!
Did that mean Snape was working for Grindelwald now?
Sean remembered Cotton Bourne telling him at the Opening Ceremony that Snape had left Hogwarts four years ago.
