Louis maintained his usual authority. "Nothing. Also, I'm going to the study to research a spell. No one is to disturb me without my permission."

"Yes, Patriarch." The MacFasty family member noticed nothing amiss and left after receiving the order.

By then, Sean had already used the Imperius Curse and Legilimency to peer into Louis's mind. He discovered that the Obsession Entity's disturbance had not been caused by any trap aimed at him. It had truly been an accident.

And the item Louis had received from the Returners was clearly another Obsession Entity.

It was not strange for there to be multiple Obsession Entities, and it was reasonable for two of them to resonate. However, Sean had not expected them to also seem capable of sealing some kind of existence.

According to Louis's description, the silver mist sealed within the Obsession Entity seemed to be some form of high-level lifeform, carrying an extremely powerful magical pressure.

Sean rested his chin on his hand and pondered for a moment, somewhat puzzled.

The existence sealed inside the Obsession Entity could be used for communication, but if it remained awakened for too long, it would be completely released. At that point, it would slaughter nearby creatures according to its own preferences.

Was that a special property of the Obsession Entity itself, or of the being within it?

Moreover, when the Returners gave the Obsession Entity to Louis, they had used "It" to refer to the existence inside.

Could it be another one of Herpo's avatars?

No, Herpo could naturally control his own avatars. Why would he need to seal one inside an Obsession Entity...
