Never had the memory been so clear, nor so strange.
The sky was an unnatural dusky yellow, yet it was wrapped in gloomy blackness, like bloodshot veins in a human eye. Scarlet lines flickered chaotically across the sky.
It was the ruins of an ancient castle, its original form utterly unrecognizable. Only atop a collapsed wall hung a tattered banner, whose emblem could just barely be made out.
A scorched, hole-riddled blue field, with a bronze giant eagle stained by great swathes of blood.
It was Ravenclaw's emblem.
Sean's mind shook violently. Looking more closely, he realized that this place seemed to be... Hogwarts!
And beneath that bloodstained banner, a silver-haired woman was weeping in despair.
Her voice remained cold and quiet, so faint that it was mixed with hoarse sobs.
The scene was calm, yet so utterly despairing. Her low cries drifted through the ruins of Hogwarts, with nowhere to settle.
"Stephanie...?" Sean was not certain.
The silver-haired woman was half-kneeling amid the rubble, yet her tall, seductive curves were unmistakable. She wore an ill-fitting sky-blue gown that clashed sharply with the surrounding ruins.
Though the dress had several tears and was covered in dust, it still felt strangely out of place—far too ill-fitting. The gown was stretched tightly across her body, while the skirt that should have trailed to the ground only reached the woman's pale ankles.
Why would Stephanie's memories contain a scene like this...
The sobbing seemed to grow softer and softer. The woman clutched something tightly as huge tears rolled down, striking the ground and sending up clouds of dust.
Could this be why Stephanie had fallen unconscious? Had that silver mist brought memories from an entirely different place, causing the girl's abnormal state?
Sean cautiously approached. He had only taken two steps when he
