At that moment, the real Sean Wallop was still trapped within the mirrored floor.
He sat on the ground irritably, beside an idle Gryffindor.
The latter waved a hand, playing rock-paper-scissors with his Animagus form in the real world—the Giant Squid's tentacles could only curl into balls, so Gryffindor delighted in repeatedly throwing paper.
Sean now realized that this guy was pretty awful too, even bullying his own Animagus...
Gryffindor waved his hand lazily and said casually, "If you need me to, I can notify your friends, or anyone else you want to inform. Of course, they have to be at Hogwarts—though I still wouldn't recommend it. I've already explained why, and you agreed."
Sean frowned. "I know, but I prefer to keep the initiative in my own hands."
"But Sean Wallop in the real world is also you—" Gryffindor spread his hands.
"Thank you for stressing that, Sir Knight, but you still don't understand how I think," Sean said.
This time, it was Gryffindor who did not understand. He asked in confusion, "Honestly, I've basically never met a wizard more confident... no, more arrogant than you. You trust yourself so deeply, and that trust should extend to the other you as well. Yet now you're so anxious—I've made myself clear. You have faith in yourself, so perhaps this is your chance to resolve Pride."
Sean curled his lip. "That's exactly why I said you don't understand how I think—the world isn't in my hands, so things won't turn out differently just because I'm confident. There are far too many accidents."
Gryffindor clicked his tongue in wonder. "So can I take that to mean you think that letting another Sean Wallop act in the real world isn't safe enough, even if that
