Sean froze where he stood.
A moment later, he asked in disbelief, "You said... there's a god who controls the authority of time?"
Lust did not understand why Sean's voice had suddenly changed, but although she had her doubts, she had already revealed most of it. There was no point in hiding anything now, so she answered honestly, "Of course there is. Mother governs love and hope, Lord Death God governs pure death. Beneath them are Sin, who controls negative emotions, the goddess who controls life... and so on. Naturally, there would also be a god who controls the authority of time."
The authority of time... Sean could barely contain the immense shock in his heart.
All along, Sean had believed that time was the truly miraculous thing in this world—the river of time naturally looped back on itself, time had its own laws of operation, beyond human control and beyond mortal observation.
Even merely disturbing the normal course of the world could bring enormous, drastic changes.
Moreover, logically speaking, the authority of time should belong to the highest tier of this world. To use a somewhat inappropriate analogy, time was a fundamental rule of the world itself. It should not have become a god's authority.
Otherwise, given that Death God's authority and Love God's authority could stand above the authorities of other gods, the abnormalities across Sean's many Timelines should have been discovered long ago.
Yet now, Lust was telling him that there was a god who controlled the authority of time.
He immediately asked, "Which god controls the authority of time? What level is he?"
Lust answered honestly, "To be honest, I don't know who it is. But the god controlling the authority of time has always existed—uh, the ranks of gods have never been divided that clearly.
