First, I had to thank "Baizhou Eats White Porridge" and "Shangxian Qitian" for their Silver Alliance donations! You two bosses were mighty and magnificent!
Especially boss "Shangxian Qitian"... He made one Silver Alliance donation and five Alliance Leader donations, completely filling up Jing God's Throne's gift boxes. As long as you big shots were happy, that was all that mattered.
I hadn't dared to slack off in the slightest with the recent updates.
When the first Silver Alliance donation came in, I even boldly declared that I'd add more chapters. But after trying it, I found it hard to squeeze out time for extra updates while writing ten thousand words a day... Or rather, it was hard to guarantee the quality of those extra updates.
As for padding the word count by piecing together half-chapters, I couldn't bring myself to do that.
Yesterday's two huge chapters amounted to the usual four chapters, but I didn't want to count those extra words as bonus updates.
So I couldn't promise extra updates. Carelessly setting flags I couldn't fulfill would only drain everyone's enthusiasm.
I imagined readers who had followed the updates to this point cared more about quality than quantity anyway.
As for ending chapters at cliffhangers... I really hadn't done it on purpose. By the time I finished writing every day, it was already too late. If I kept going, I simply couldn't hold on. Other people stopped chapters while holding back their momentum; I was genuinely pushing myself to the absolute limit...
If everyone felt that longer chapters made for a better reading experience, I would try posting more long chapters over the next few days.
