After finishing tonight's writing, I wanted to write this little standalone post and talk things over with everyone.
About a very serious issue.
Because there are simply too many lurkers, I set up bonus updates for "chapter comments" not long ago. The fundamental purpose of this was to get some positive feedback... If everyone could get into the habit of leaving a comment whenever they felt like it, I'd be happy to put out extra chapters for that.
I know it's hard for this type of story of mine to attract comments, because it's difficult to make memes out of it, so there are no explosive talking points for the comments section. Most of the time, the plot just progresses steadily.
I never expected everyone to leave that many comments.
It's just for fun.
Even if the whole screen is filled with Monkey King memes, that's fine too.
I can accept both positive and negative feedback, but the one thing I can't accept is a lone "filler" with no explanation whatsoever.
It's already been over three million words. I imagine those who have caught up to the latest chapters should be longtime readers who finished the Nagano and North Continent arcs. The setup and payoff of plot threads in those arcs were all handled in an orderly fashion.
If the plot drags somewhere, if there's a problem somewhere, or if a character acts out of character—
Point it out in the comments, and I'll revise it immediately.
Because the daily update volume is so high, I often make little mistakes. For example, the dialogue in Song Ci's confrontation with the Kurosaki Group two chapters ago didn't fit the characters, and I've already revised that section.
