In an instant, 3300 damage was reflected back at him, leaving his Life Points hanging by a thread.

Placido felt utterly stifled. He had clearly held the absolute advantage on the Field, yet he had slashed himself down to seven hundred Life Points.

And he had even been forced to personally blow up the Stardust Dragon he had worked so hard to absorb, all just to win himself a chance to barely cling to life.

He, Placido, one of Iliaster's Three Emperors, had traveled through the river of history across countless Timelines and had scarcely ever known defeat. When had he fallen to such a miserable state?

"Only seven hundred Life Points left. You'd better be more careful from here on out," Kira said with a cheerful smile. "With that little Life Points, I might accidentally finish you off if I'm not careful."

That smug expression only made him angrier.

Placido snorted. "I activate the Spell Card, Aurora Draw!" (Original Work Card)

Placido inserted the Spell into his Duel Disk. Above the Ghost he controlled, brilliant auroras immediately rippled across the night sky, casting a dazzling display of light.

"Aurora Draw can only be activated when it is the only card in my hand. I draw two cards from my Deck!"

Placido drew two cards, glanced over them, and narrowed his eyes slightly before selecting one and setting it with a flick of his wrist.

"I Set another card in my Back Row, then activate another Spell Card, Aurora Draw!

"I draw another two cards from my Deck!"

Placido fired off Aurora Draw twice in succession, drawing four cards at once.

"Next, the Spell Card Spellbook of the Buried. I Banish three Spell Cards from my Graveyard and draw two cards."

"I Set two more cards, then End Turn."
