Outside the track, Z-ONE floated silently in the void, watching the developments on the track through his heavy metal shell.
"Has Antinomy's strategy been suppressed?"
Z-ONE murmured.
Although Antinomy's strength had also reached the threshold of a Duel King, he had only barely crossed into that level. Z-ONE could tell that compared to this Duel King from another world, he was still lacking.
But precisely because of that, this duel held meaning as a trial for Antinomy.
"After this battle, can you become even stronger, my old friend?" Z-ONE said to himself.
Then again, this Duel King named Fujiki Kira already possessed strength of this caliber, yet he still claimed he was far from the strongest. There were actually duelists even stronger than him in that dimension.
Another name suddenly flashed through Z-ONE's mind.
A legendary Duel King who had long since vanished from this dimension, yet whose reputation resounded throughout countless Parallel Universes.
"Could it be..." Z-ONE looked toward Kira, a suspicion forming in his heart. "Is Yugi Mutou still alive in your dimension?"
Yes, Yugi Mutou, the legendary Duel King.
Limited by his era, he had been born in the early days of Duel Monsters, before the rules had been fully refined. Most of the monsters he used were vanilla weaklings that had long been eliminated by later generations, and his Deck's efficiency was not especially high by modern standards. Even so, his status as a legendary Duel King had never been shaken.
What made Yugi Mutou strong was the duelist himself, not his Deck. A true powerhouse could adapt immediately no matter what era he entered. As the times advanced and the environment accelerated, he too would adapt and accelerate alongside them. Even in a new era, he would remain its king.
