Level Eater was one of the cards Yusei often used in the anime.

By lowering one star from a level five or higher monster on the Field, it could Special Summon itself back from the Graveyard. Even more absurdly, it had no Once Per Turn restriction.

Its power needed no further explanation. In modern Yu-Gi-Oh!, something like this would practically be a world-ending artifact. It could leap in and out of the Graveyard without limit during a single turn, whether used as ammunition for something like Catapult Turtle or Mass Accelerator to burn Life Points, or as material for all sorts of plays. It was an extremely terrifying card.

Of course, it had not been banned in the 5DS Era, which showed that the game environment had not yet spiraled as wildly out of control as it would in later generations. Even so, this bug had already displayed considerable potential in the current format.
