Of course, even when this Deck had first come out, its battle power had been average at best. It could not be called a top-tier Competitive Deck. But as the popular boss Deck successfully established by 5DS, it naturally received an anime bonus.
Coupled with the fact that every member was Level 10 with 0 ATK, its stylishness naturally rose a notch. Their immunity to damage and destruction made the Timelord series seem tailor-made for all sorts of underhanded gimmicks at a glance—nothing thrilled Revenge Deck Strategy players more than having an anime boss monster standing on the Field while the Back Row was packed with all kinds of red traps.
Anime boss monsters paired with suffocating lockdowns were both nostalgic and utterly vile.
However, the anime Timelords differed somewhat from the Timelords Kira knew. While the Timelords in the anime generally had effects a whole tier stronger, they did not have the almost unconditional effects that allowed them to Special Summon themselves directly like the Physical Card Version. In the anime, they either had to be summoned with exclusive cards like the Infinite Machine or required Tributes, making them somewhat troublesome to bring out.
But that did not matter. Deck-building could wait until he had time to study it slowly; he could consider designing a new build or simply developing a Physical Card Version. In any case, he would take the cards first and worry about the rest later.
