"Destiny HERO - Dystopia's effect activates!"
Aster shouted.
"When Dystopia is successfully Fusion Summoned, I can choose a monster in the Graveyard that was used as this card's Fusion Material and activate its effect. Inflict damage to my opponent equal to that monster's ATK!" (Anime effect)
The physically adapted Dystopia was no longer restricted to choosing only Fusion Materials, but it was restricted to selecting a Level 4 or lower Destiny HERO in the Graveyard and inflicting damage equal to that monster's ATK.
Though the anime-original effect was less flexible than the physical card, it undoubtedly raised the ceiling on the damage it could inflict. After all, even the strongest Level 4 or lower Destiny HERO had its limits.
"I choose the 'Destiny HERO - Dogma Kid' that was just used as Fusion Material!"
The instant Aster's words fell, Dogma Kid's phantom appeared in midair, its energy seeming to be absorbed into Dystopia's body. Dystopia extended its right palm and spread its fingers. A black magical Light Orb brewed in its palm amid writhing lightning, first forming an unstable fist-sized mass of energy before rapidly expanding beneath the coils of purple lightning. When the energy sphere reached its critical point, the air within three meters warped from the heat.
As his fingers suddenly clenched, the energy sphere transformed into a shooting star and blasted forward. A dense web of electricity lingered along its black trajectory, and the instant it struck its target, it erupted into a five-meter-wide energy storm. Wherever the shockwave swept, the ground fractured in radial patterns, while flying rubble was pulverized into dust by the aftershock before it could even fall.
"Dogma Kid's ATK is 3400!" Aster said. "Take 3400 damage!"
"3400 damage? You've got to be kidding me."
IV shouted at the top of his lungs.
