"I'm stuffed~"
Yuma stretched as he walked out of the Red Dorm cafeteria.
Ordinary people, upon learning that they had somehow ended up in a Different Dimension, would probably soon start feeling uneasy and wonder how they could get back.
But Yuma was different. Though he had worried about it for a little while, dueling and eating had quickly pushed those concerns to the back of his mind. In any case, having cards to play and food to eat seemed more important than any other problem.
As for getting back, there was no rush to figure that out. There had to be a way eventually, right?
After lazily walking a few steps along the path outside the dorm, Yuma suddenly heard faint voices nearby.
Curious, he followed the sound and found several students behind some bushes. His eyes lit up, and he eagerly moved to greet them, only to stop when he heard what they were talking about.
Yuma approached the bushes and listened closely. To his surprise, he could vaguely make out the name "Yuma."
Why were they talking about him?
Yuma did not speak up right away and simply listened quietly for a moment.
".Yuma Tsukumo? You mean that kid who showed up on the island these past couple of days?"
"Yeah, him. Haven't you heard?" one person said. "He came from that 'Xyz Dimension.'"
The others all made sounds of surprise.
"Xyz? Isn't that the. invading world?"
"Yeah, that's what I heard too," someone else said. "Apparently, several waves of invasions were stopped by the Duel King's side. It sounds like a pretty dangerous dimension."
"But I've met that kid named Yuma. I don't think he seems like—"
"You can't be sure of that." A companion cut him off before he could finish. "Appearance doesn't decide anything.
