"Now the attack restriction has been lifted!" Giragu shouted. "Go! CNO.106 Lava Palm - Giant Red Hand, attack 'Inzektor Dragonfly'!"
He had long found Dragonfly an eyesore. The giant hand spread its five fingers, and scorching red lava spiraled from its palm in a bursting blast. At that moment, every card on the Field had been negated. Even the defensive beams of Insect Barrier melted away, leaving nothing in the way.
The spiraling blast pierced Dragonfly through the chest, and it exploded into fragments.

Kira staggered, but quickly steadied himself again and gave Giragu a light smile. "Your Lava Palm is pretty powerful."
That was not entirely politeness. He genuinely thought so. CNO.106 Lava Palm - Giant Red Hand differed between the anime and the real card game.
The real-life Lava Palm could only negate the effects of face-up cards on the Field "until the End Turn." It was merely temporary negation. But in the anime version, once Lava Palm's effect activated, every card that had been on the Field at the time of activation remained permanently negated, making it far more useful.
It also had an anime-exclusive effect that had been removed from the real card game. As long as Lava Palm remained face-up in Attack Position on the Field, all Effect Damage its controller received became 0. That gave it immunity to Effect Damage, which was also quite practical.
"I Set a Card and end my turn," Giragu said. "Next turn, I'll use Lava Palm's power to finish you without a doubt!"
"Next turn? That certainly sounds exciting. My Turn, Draw a Card."
