Kira smiled again and drew the Field Spell that had popped out of his Deck.
"The Field Spell I'll activate from my Deck is this: 'Chicken Race'!"
With a thunderous roar, the holograms obscured the original battlefield between them, and even the dazzling radiance of the Perpetual Motion Machine vanished completely. In its place rose towering mountains and perilous cliffs. A ghost tank and an armored vehicle faced each other from opposite sides, their engines periodically emitting low rumbles like two beasts meeting on a narrow road and roaring in warning.
This field was designed around the game theory model of "chicken." When both sides met head-on and refused to yield, the first to back down was the "chicken" in the game.
"As long as the Field Spell 'Chicken Race' remains On the Field, all Battle Damage and Effect Damage received by the duelist with lower Life Points becomes 0!"
Protected by the field, Chaos Puppet Master's ten-thousand-ATK finishing blow was blocked outside by the impassable cliffs. The attack never reached Dragonfly, and the vast crimson tide dissipated into nothingness.
