"That really was a luxurious opening."
Kira smiled as he looked at Aster's field on the first turn.
A Level 8 monster, Dogma, Destiny HERO's Clock Tower Prison, plus two Set Cards in the Back Row—it was nothing if not lavish.
"Then it looks like I'll have to get a little serious too," Kira said. "My Turn, draw."
"The instant you enter the Standby Phase, Destiny HERO - Dogma's Effect Activation!" Aster shouted. "As long as Dogma exists On the Field, during each opponent's Standby Phase, their Life Points become half!" (Original Work Effect)
Though the Physical Card Adaptation retained this effect, it had been weakened as usual. In the anime, as long as Dogma was On the Field, it would activate every turn. After becoming a physical card, it was changed so that it only activated during the Standby Phase of the turn after Dogma was Special Summoned, becoming a one-time effect.

Therefore, the effect directly altered Life Points rather than dealing effect damage. In other words, neither damage reflection like Barrel Behind the Door nor immunity to effect damage like Winged Kuriboh could stop it.
It could be said that Dogma's strike was unavoidable. Unless its activation was negated outright, there was almost no way to defend against it.
"This is the power of a hero who bears the heavy fate of battle," Aster said. "It's nothing like some Judai Yuki!"
"Haha,
