Silver Liuxing laboriously opened his eyes, his eyelids feeling as heavy as if they had been filled with lead. The glaring lights stung his eyes, leaving him unable to open them for a moment. He tried to sit up, but his limbs felt exceptionally heavy too, and he could not get up at all.
Then he saw Duel Academy's very large teacher, Emi Ayukawa, as well as the equally large student standing beside her, Asuka Tenjouin.
"Ms. Ayukawa? Tenjouin?"
Silver Liuxing was bewildered. He wondered what virtues a mere gaming nerd like him had to deserve the attention of two such famous figures at the academy.
"What is this? How did I get here?"
Ms. Ayukawa and Asuka exchanged glances.
"You don't remember anything?" Asuka asked.
Silver Liuxing frowned deeply and tried hard to recall.
"I remember going to Domino City for a competition, a flight-shooting game tournament. I won first place, and then..."
Silver Liuxing scratched his head, his expression growing more pained the harder he tried to remember.
"Ah, I can't remember. But I think I had a really strange dream. That's right, I dreamed about Tenjouin."
He turned to Asuka, saw the strange look on her face, and hurriedly added—
"Ah, not that kind of improper dream. Though, well, it was a little strange. But I think I dreamed that I was dueling Tenjouin, and my Tamashii battleship actually betrayed me and ran off with her."
As he said this, he clutched his chest, looking as though he still had lingering fears.
"Good thing it was just a dream. That was terrifying..."
