It was a blue-faced demon with broad, massive bone wings, jet-black horns, and a hulking frame. Flames seemed to churn within its palms.

Valafar let out a furious roar as gathered hellfire took the shape of Fiery Cannon and shot straight toward Kira.

Yet this earth-shaking strike had only traveled halfway when it seemed to hit an invisible wall. No—not a wall. It had been cut off at the source. The spewing flames abruptly ceased, and Valafar suddenly stopped its attack, its body trembling slightly as though wrestling with some unseen force.

Repak was startled and hurriedly called out.

"Valafar? What's going on? Why aren't you attacking?"

"Because I activated a Trap." Kira pointed to the card flipped open beside him. "Trap Card, 'Into the Void! No Entry!!'

All Attack Position monsters on the field must be changed to Defense Position."

He gestured toward Repak's field.

"Your Koa'ki Meiru Valafar and Koa'ki Meiru Guardian must both change to Defense Position."

"Tch, another one of these petty tricks."

Repak curled his lip in annoyance.

But then he narrowed his eyes and glanced at the Koa'ki Meiru Guardian on his field, letting out a quiet chuckle to himself.

Still, his strongest piece had already been put in place. The scales of victory were already tipping in his favor. His opponent simply had not noticed yet.

Using a Deck like Cyber Dragon against him was the Duel
