"Then it'll be troublesome if you attack me next turn.

So I'll use the Spell Card 'Offering to the Dead.' By discarding one card from my hand, I can destroy any monster on the field."

Kira sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard, then revealed the Spell Card in his hand. Golden light bloomed from the card as white bindings extended from it like tentacles, instantly wrapping Saiō's Devil tightly.

"Destroy 'Arcana Force XV - The Devil.'"

The Devil was immediately bound like a mummy. It let out a strange cry, then exploded with a boom into a fireball and vanished from the field.

Saiō looked at the fragments exploding before him and muttered something indistinctly. It was impossible to make out, but it sounded like he was cursing under his breath. Probably nothing nice.

"Although I could Special Summon 'Sacred Lotus' from the Graveyard during the End Turn Phase, Sacred Lotus can only be summoned in Attack Position through its own effect. That would be too stupid.

So I won't activate Sacred Lotus's effect. I'll keep 'Des Frog' in Defense Position, then Set a Card and End Turn."

"My Turn, draw."

Saiō drew, then glanced at The Fool on his field. He bared his teeth slightly, seeming more irritated the longer he looked at it.

This damned thing had 0 ATK, couldn't be destroyed by battle, and couldn't Change to Defense Position. Though he had found a way to break World Lock, the price had been leaving his Life Points as fragile as a candle in the wind.

In other words, all his opponent had to do now was casually play a monster with over 900 ATK,
