Chaos Destruction

Saiō narrowed his eyes.

Chaos Core. He hadn't expected Kira to pull out a monster related to the Sacred Beasts. And judging by its effect, it truly was an exceptionally powerful shield.

After milling three Sacred Beasts, it could gain up to three instances of destruction immunity, while all battle damage became 0. Its resistance worked against both battle and effect destruction, making it truly difficult to break through.

But that was fine. He had more than enough attacks on his side, not to mention his trump card of skipping turns with "The World." That was more than enough to burn through all three instances of destruction immunity and finish him off in the process.

At that thought, the corners of his mouth rose again.

"You're merely delaying your death." Saiō shouted. "Next, Arcana Force XV - The Devil attacks Chaos Core!"

After a pause, he added.

"The Devil's effect! When it declares an attack, choose one monster on the field and destroy it! Destroy Chaos Core!"

The Devil's effect could negate one instance of destruction immunity, and its attack could remove another. That way, all three of Chaos Core's death-defying tokens would be used up.

Then he could activate The World's ability to skip a turn. On his next turn, every monster on his field would have its attacks reset. An all-out assault would secure his victory.

The more Saiō thought about it, the more excited he became, and the more exaggerated his smile grew.

But before any of that could be put into action—

"I activate my Set Card." Kira snapped his fingers. "Trap Card, Evil God's Great Disaster. Activate it when the opponent declares an attack; destroy all monsters on the field." (Original Work effect)
