"Relinquished's effect!" Pegasus laughed loudly. "Absorb Red-Eyes Black Dragon as well!"

The animated Relinquished had no limit on the number of monsters it could absorb; it could only absorb once per turn. The ATK of all monsters absorbed into its body would stack, and whenever it was destroyed by battle, it could use one of its equipped monsters as a shield instead.

The Set Card in Joey's Back Row flipped over. The instant the trap activated, a massive blue Dimensional Vortex emerged on his Field. Its powerful gravitational pull seized Red-Eyes and tried to drag it in, the deep blue currents seeming to lead to the unknown shores of another dimension.

"Dimensional Gate's effect lets me Banish one face-up monster on my Field when it's activated!" Joey said. "I choose to Banish 'Red-Eyes Black Dragon'!"

"Oh?" Pegasus narrowed his eyes with interest. "You actually chose to avoid this by voluntarily giving up your own Ace Monster. Are you that afraid of my Relinquished?"

Naturally, he understood what Joey was planning. A monster Banished by Dimensional Gate was not permanently exiled to the Different Dimension. As long as this Continuous Trap left the Field, that monster could return to the Field.
