"What did you say!?"
Professor Satou, who had remained calm until just moments ago, instantly flew into a rage, his eyes seeming ready to spit fire.
But Kira looked him straight in the eye without the slightest trace of fear and calmly repeated himself, enunciating every word clearly.
"I said, no offense intended, but your class really is garbage."
Veins bulged on Satou's forehead.
Ever since leaving the pro scene, ever since he could no longer fight on the Duel Arena, teaching at Duel Academy had become his entire world. It was that important to him, which was why he had hated Judai so deeply in the original story.
And all Judai had done was fail to set a good example and lead the other students astray.
But this guy was calling it garbage right to his face!
How could he tolerate that? How could anyone possibly tolerate that!?
Satou's face darkened. "You'd better know what you're saying, Fujiki Kira."
"Of course I do." Kira said flatly, "The reason I didn't choose your class was because I felt it had no value whatsoever. Perhaps it is the essence of what you learned from years of competing in the pro scene, but to me, your experience is rigid and outdated. There are no ideas worth learning from, nor are there any training methods that actually bring improvement."
After a pause, he gave a faint chuckle and added,
"Besides, while you attribute all your failures to me, the truth is that nobody was listening to your classes in the first place. Want to know why?
Because your classes were boring and useless to begin with. I didn't need to set any kind of example; the other students would naturally make the same choice.
