Professor Cobra's gaze quickly turned cold.
The reason he had chosen this Abandoned Laboratory as his base was to stay out of sight. Or, more precisely, to stay out of Kira's sight.
Now that the other party had come all the way here, all his hiding seemed rather pointless.
Cobra was somewhat irritated.
What the hell? He had installed a fairly advanced alarm system here, yet these people were coming and going as if it were their own bathroom. Didn't that make all his previous preparations seem a little stupid?
"Mr. Kira." Amon took a breath, finally recovering from the oppression of the Dark Power. "What are you doing here?"
"I was originally planning to watch a little longer, but I didn't expect you to be this impatient." Kira shrugged. "So forget it. I won't wait anymore. Let's just lay everything out."
Cobra's expression turned even colder after hearing their exchange. "I see. So you're together, then?"
"Don't misunderstand. We merely know each other."
Kira said.
"I originally wanted to observe for a while longer, because I still hadn't found where that spirit was."
As he spoke, Kira glanced around the room.
"There's a trace of his aura here, but this isn't his true form." Kira's gaze fell on Cobra. "It's only part of the power he left within you, isn't it?"
In the original story, Yubel should have been in this laboratory, in this very room, inside a tank resembling a culture dish.
But with the Timeline Shift, he seemed to be gone. In fact, Kira could not sense him anywhere in the entire facility.
Cobra frowned deeply.
Fine. Even the Duel King had come for that spirit.
"Oh, it seems the spirit in the professor's possession truly is as special as the rumors say." Amon said.
