Duel Academy's Opening Ceremony Dinner for the new semester went off without a hitch. The academy had truly spared no expense this year, preparing a lavish banquet for its teachers, students, and guests who had come from afar. The generosity left even the visitors from other schools clicking their tongues in amazement.
Johan Andersen, master of the Gem Beasts, munched on a shrimp as he curiously asked the new companions he had just met beside him, "So, is your main campus really this rich? A banquet on this scale would be unimaginable at our branch school."
Misawa, standing together with Judai, said quietly, "You definitely can't imagine how much income the main campus brought in over the past year."
The teachers and students of the main campus had all felt the obvious changes over the past year. From top to bottom, Duel Academy seemed to be getting more and more extravagant: benefits, the stock in every Card Warehouse shipment, discount rates, and academy facilities—
Nearly every aspect had visibly improved. The academy was becoming better every day.
And everyone in the school knew that those changes had begun after the arrival of someone they both respected and feared, loved and hated.
At the same time, perhaps for the first time since Duel Academy had been founded, Ra Yellow Dorm's status had begun to show signs of overtaking Obelisk Blue Dorm.
In the past, elite education had been highly valued at this school, and there had been a strict hierarchy among students. When Yellow Dorm students encountered Blue Dorm elites on the road, they were expected to lower their heads and yield. Everyone had a clear understanding of their own rank.
But now, the rules that had remained in place since the academy's founding were beginning to be shaken. Yellow Dorm
