It was Kira's turn.

"I set one monster on the field in Face-down Defense Position," Kira said. "Then I set one card in my Back Row. End Turn."

Jim pondered.

Despite going second, Kira had not launched an attack. Was he leaving Jim an opportunity to show what he could do?

Or was he digging a pit and waiting for Jim to jump in?

A burning centaur appeared, its upper body bearing two lion heads, both wreathed in blazing flames.

The beast's right lion head let out a roar as its right hand formed a fireball and hurled it through the air. The flames struck Kira's set card head-on. The card flipped over, revealing a small yet somewhat eerie bird.

It looked like an owl with white feathers.

"Telling Fortunes White Owl's Flip Effect," Kira said. "Choose one Field Spell from my Deck and place it on top of my Deck."

Jim frowned.

A monster that could search out a Field Spell.

He knew all too well that many Decks could not function without their Field Spells. Some Fields were even the absolute core of their strategies. Though he still did not know what Deck his opponent was using, he certainly could not let him easily obtain the Field Spell he wanted.

"Then I activate my Set Card!" Jim said. "The Counter Trap, 'True Sword Match'!
