Absolute darkness. There was nothing tangible to be seen anywhere, not even any way to tell direction. Judai Yuki walked through the darkness, looking around.
"Kira?"

Judai kept moving forward, unease beginning to creep into his heart.
Finding his way and keeping his bearings had never been his strong suit. He remembered hearing someone say that in the desert, if you went too long without landmarks to determine direction and kept walking toward what you thought was straight ahead, you were most likely just going in circles.
Many travelers lost in the desert had died from wandering in circles like that.
"This is going to be troublesome." Judai scratched his head.
But after taking a few more steps, he caught sight of what seemed to be a human silhouette in the darkness ahead. Not caring whether it was friend or foe, Judai hurried forward and caught up from behind, only to discover it was actually his teammate.
