Ch. 322Final Turn?

Judai tried to destroy Necromancer’s Spirit Board with Elemental HERO Wild Wingman, but Divine Wrath stopped him and the death messages advanced to DEAT. Necromancer then protected Marshmallon with Safe Zone, leaving Judai one turn to find a way through his defenses.

Ch. 324The Yin Hero of Justice

Kira hinted that Judai could overcome Necromancer’s protected Marshmallon by tributing it, and Judai used Miracle Fusion to summon Elemental HERO Necroshade Shaman. Judai tributed Marshmallon, revived it in Attack Position, and defeated Necromancer with his HEROes’ attacks, leaving the duel decided.

  • The Black Robes realized their mission had gone badly after Night Shadow and the Boss were killed by Duel Academy students.
  • Black Flame suspected headquarters had left the branch as cannon fodder and proposed asking the Demon King for help.
  • Black Flame and another Black-Robed Figure approached the Demon King at the Dark Star Club and asked him to deal with their enemy.
  • The Demon King dismissed their offer of money but became interested when they described the target as a handsome young genius.
  • The Demon King agreed to meet the target.

Ch. 327Dark Star Club

Kira and Judai visited Dark Star Club to investigate its ties to New Doma, where Demon King challenged Kira to a Dark Duel for information. Demon King began the duel with Gozuki and Nine-Tailed Fox in his Graveyard, leaving Kira to take his first turn.

  • Kira explained that Dark Star Club might provide clues about New Doma, and he and Judai met Demon King in a private room.
  • Demon King revealed that New Doma’s people had asked him for help and proposed a Dark Duel, with the loser obeying the winner’s commands.

  • The Demon King called New Doma and falsely claimed that Kira and Judai had been captured, then invited the agents to come verify the Sealing Device.
  • Kira rejected the Demon King's entertainment and asked him to bring out his backup Decks while they waited.
  • Two New Doma agents arrived, recognized the Demon King's betrayal, and tried to flee, but Kira's Shadow Game repeatedly returned them to the room.
  • Kira offered the agents a duel with the Seal of Orichalcos or a duel whose loser would obey his demands, including taking him to their base and answering his questions.
  • The Demon King reminded Kira to confiscate the agents' Decks, then defended the demand as an act of justice.

Ch. 333One at a Time

Judai and Kira defeated two Doma members and forced them to lead the way to their base. There, Kira and Judai confronted the gathered branch members, trapping them in the room and challenging them to Duel one at a time.

  • Judai defeated one Doma member with Elemental HERO Tempest, while Kira used Rivalry of Warlords to keep the other trapped with Ojama Tokens.
  • Kira made the two defeated men lead him to the Doma base, where Black Flame had temporarily taken command after Necromancer's defeat.
  • Poison Fang revealed that Kira was waiting outside the base, and Kira and Judai entered to face the assembled Duelists.

Ch. 334Kaiser of the Academy

After clearing out a New Doma stronghold, Kira and Judai split up to collect their final Puzzle Cards. Kira found Zane Truesdale with five cards as well, and they prepared to duel, with Kira intending to challenge Zane’s beliefs about dueling.

  • Kira and Judai discussed the arrival of New Doma’s headquarters forces, compared their Puzzle Cards, and agreed to meet in the finals before going their separate ways.
  • Kira searched for another opponent, then ran into Zane Truesdale at a restaurant and learned they each had five Puzzle Cards.
  • Zane proposed that they duel to decide which of them would qualify, but Kira insisted on eating first.
  • While Kira ate, he reflected on Zane’s idealistic respect for opponents and resolved to show him the cruel stakes of dueling.
  • After finishing his meal, Kira stood up and agreed to duel Zane.

Ch. 335Battle of Duel Academy's Kings?

Kira and Zane Truesdale dueled in Battle City as Duel Academy students gathered to record the clash. Kira took the lead with Raiza the Mega Monarch, leaving Zane at 1600 Life Points as Kira ended his turn with two Set cards.

  • Kira Set a monster and a card, then Zane used Time Capsule to banish a card face-down and Pot of Greed to draw two.

Ch. 337Monarchs vs. Cyber Dragons

Kira used Des Frog to fuel a succession of Monarch summons, destroying Zane Truesdale’s Cyber monsters and clearing his field. Zane survived Zaborg’s direct attack by reviving Cyber Barrier Dragon, leaving the duel unresolved.

  • Kira revived Des Frog during his Standby Phase and Tributed it to summon Granmarg the Rock Monarch, which targeted one of Zane Truesdale’s Set Cards.
  • Zane activated Call of the Haunted to revive Cyber Dragon, then used Attack Reflector Unit to summon Cyber Barrier Dragon in Defense Position and block Granmarg’s attack.
  • Kira activated Quick Summon, Tributed Granmarg, and summoned Zaborg the Thunder Monarch, which destroyed Cyber Barrier Dragon.

Ch. 338Flash Defense!

Zane Truesdale built an 8000-ATK Cyber End Dragon with Power Bond and attacked Kira’s Zaborg the Thunder Monarch. Kira revealed Holy Barrier—Mirror Force to destroy all of Zane’s Attack Position monsters.

  • Zane Truesdale recovered the card banished by Time Capsule and used Magical Stone Excavation to draw three cards.
  • Zane revived Proto-Cyber Dragon and activated Infernal Reckless Summon, bringing three Cyber Dragons onto his Field.
  • Zane used Power Bond to Fusion Summon Cyber End Dragon and doubled its ATK to 8000.

Ch. 339Give Him a Setback

Kira used Mirror Force to destroy Zane Truesdale’s Cyber monsters, though Zane saved Cyber End Dragon and returned it with 16,000 ATK. Kira then revived Des Frog and summoned Caius the Shadow Monarch, determined to push Zane into a greater setback.

  • Kira activated Mirror Force, destroying Cyber Dragon and Cyber Barrier Dragon while Zane banished Cyber End Dragon with Cybernetic Zone.
  • Zane drew cards, set two cards, and returned Cyber End Dragon during the End Phase with its ATK doubled to 16,000.
  • Zane’s Ceasefire prevented him from taking Power Bond’s End Phase damage.

Ch. 340The Strongest Fleeting Moment

Zane Truesdale used Cybernetic Zone and Solomon's Lawbook to raise Cyber End Dragon's ATK to 32,000 and avoid its destruction. Kira banished monsters and disrupted attacks, but Zane dismantled Cyber End Dragon to escape Dimensional Prison and continued his assault with Limiter Removal.

  • Kira summoned Caius the Shadow Monarch and targeted Zane Truesdale's Cyber End Dragon for banishment, but Zane used Cybernetic Zone to make it vanish until the End Phase.
  • Cyber End Dragon returned with 32,000 ATK, and Zane activated Solomon's Lawbook to skip the Standby Phase that would have destroyed it.
  • Zane used Card of Sanctity to make both players draw until they had six cards, then attacked Caius with Cyber End Dragon.

Ch. 341The Risk of Power

Zane Truesdale’s Limiter Removal-powered Cyber Dragons destroyed Kira’s Monarchs and struck directly, but Kira survived by activating Rainbow Life and recovering Life Points. Zane protected two Cyber Dragons from Limiter Removal’s End Phase destruction with Machina Peacekeepers and ended his turn with Armored Cyber Wing added to his hand.

  • Zane Truesdale activated Limiter Removal, then used his Cyber Dragons to destroy Zaborg and Caius, reducing Kira to 400 Life Points.
  • Zane attacked Kira directly with Proto-Cyber Dragon, but Kira revealed that Rainbow Life had restored his Life Points and absorbed damage, leaving him at 5,400.
