Chapter Summaries

Kira followed Mai Kujaku to a train station that served as a refuge for surviving Duelists and civilians. After Iwao challenged him to prove his ability, Kira defeated him in a Duel and was accepted into the plan to fight the zombies.

• Mai Kujaku led Kira through the deserted town to an occupied train station where survivors had gathered.
• Mizuki greeted Kira, and Mai explained that the station sheltered the town’s surviving Duelists and civilians.
• Iwao questioned Kira’s fighting ability and challenged him to a Duel before allowing him to join the next day’s plan.
• Kira used Guardian Sphinx and Trial of the Traveler to defeat Iwao in three minutes.
• Iwao accepted Kira and ordered him to help kill the zombies.

Kira learned that the survivors planned to escape Shimizu Town by train after restoring power and the Traffic Control System. He joined Iwao’s dangerous mission to the Power Station, but told Mai Kujaku he intended to stay and investigate the incident, while Mai continued searching for Joey Wheeler.

• Iwao explained that the survivors needed to restore the Power Station and Traffic Control System before they could escape by train, and assigned Kira to his team.
