A week later, Kayson was dejectedly fiddling with an enchanting table in the alchemy office.
He still underestimated Madam Pomfrey's skills. Quirrell, whom he had left half-crippled, reappeared on the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom podium a week later.
Snape was also unhappy, just like him.
However, their reasons for unhappiness were slightly different. Kayson was unhappy because Quirrell had come out to cause trouble again.
Snape, on the other hand, was unhappy because the position of substitute Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, which he had only held for a week, had flown away again.
But now, he forcefully cleared the sinful thoughts about Quirrell from his mind and continued to study the enchanting table in front of him.
He had been studying for a week, enchanting the magic of the Ender Pearl into his body.
Everything was ready, just one final push was needed.
A few pieces of lapis lazuli suddenly appeared in his hand, and he placed them on the enchanting table.
When he had enchanted his wand and wizard robe before, he had simply used a massive amount of magic power to flood them.
But now, enchanting himself required the utmost professionalism, as it was truly life-threatening.
The next moment, he placed the book in his hand directly on the enchanting table, and it began to float.
Instantly, wisps of text and symbols were drawn out from the book, combining with the magic to slowly form a purple light.
Poof.
Dumbledore, in the Headmaster's Office, felt his heart lurch at the loud noise.
"Madam White Dress, do you know what happened?" he asked a portrait that was visiting the Headmaster's Office.
"I'll go ask," Madam White Dress left the portrait and returned shortly.
"There was an explosion in the alchemy office, and Professor Kayson Heath has disappeared."
Dumbledore's usually calm face suddenly stiffened.
"I hope he's alright..."
He stood up, thought for a moment, and then Apparated directly into the alchemy office.
At this moment, the office was in ruins from the terrifying explosion, and Kayson...
Kayson appeared in various corners of the office.
It wasn't any advanced cloning technique; it was purely because his teleportation speed was too fast.
"Dumbledore, help me, I can't stop."
Dumbledore took out the Elder Wand and tapped it. Kayson, who couldn't control his teleportation, finally stopped, or rather, was held by a stronger spatial pull.
The moment he teleported out, he was moved back by a more powerful and bizarre spatial force.
"Oh, my Merlin... It seems I need to redecorate this office," Kayson said, patting his chest in lingering fear after he returned to normal.
"Before that, would you mind letting me know what you were doing?" Dumbledore asked, finding a relatively... intact stool to sit on.
"Look at this," Kayson directly threw the Ender Pearl to Dumbledore.
"This thing is an alchemical creation. What is its use?"
"Smash it."
Dumbledore nodded and threw it directly onto the ground.
With a hum, Kayson instantly appeared at the spot where the Ender Pearl shattered.
"Oh... what marvelous alchemy, truly," Dumbledore praised.
"But you still haven't told me why you blew this place up into a ruin."
Kayson's expression suddenly became constipated. After thinking for a moment, he took out the small booklet he had copied from Forbidden Alchemy, which combined Flesh Alchemy.
Dumbledore flipped through it and said, "You should have called me. This is truly very dangerous."
"I've experimented many times, and the success rate has reached a very considerable level."
"How much?"
"As high as twenty-four percent, a probability of twenty-four out of a hundred."
Dumbledore said helplessly, "I sincerely hope you cherish your own life as much as you cherish the lives of young wizards."
Kayson shrugged, "Relax, just consider it a playful prank. The actual probability is definitely not as low as I said. Relax."
"I hope so. Can I lift your restrictions now?" Dumbledore sighed.
"Almost. I think I can control myself now."
Dumbledore took out his wand and tapped it. The next moment, Kayson felt an unprecedented freedom throughout his body. With just a thought, he appeared behind Dumbledore.
"It's really quite good," he exclaimed.
"Hmm, quite good indeed."
From that day on, Kayson's life seemed to have entered easy mode.
Not to mention anything else, his usual dreaded commute time was shortened to one to two seconds, as he initially tended to teleport to the Potions classroom downstairs from the alchemy classroom.
It was... awkward.
But none of that mattered, because Madam Hooch, the Flying instructor, was sitting on the sofa in the corner of his office, with a large leather case in front of her.
"I'm glad you could open the door for me. It saves me the trouble of taking a few things back to their workshops."
Kayson nodded. "Of course I'll open the door for you, but this... uh, what is this?"
"A full set of Quidditch balls – one Bludger, two Quaffles, and a Golden Snitch. The Quidditch Cup is about to start this year, and I need to get these balls in perfect condition before the matches. That's why I've come to you," Madam Hooch said with a smile.
"Of course, but honestly, don't expect too much from me. I haven't dealt with this sort of thing before."
Kayson took the leather case containing the four balls and opened it with a click. The Golden Snitch immediately tried to flap its wings and fly away, but fortunately, it was tightly confined within the case.
"This little guy really has some spirit."
He tapped it with his left hand and stroked it with his right, finally asking, "Madam Hooch, do Quidditch balls usually have enchantments to prevent curses?"
"Naturally. Take the Quaffle, for example. You see how large it is. If it were to charge at a player without following Quidditch rules, it could easily kill them," Madam Hooch replied.
"I see. Then I'm very sorry, Madam Hooch. You should have taken better care of this set of balls. Their defensive enchantments have been erased." Kayson firmly gripped a large Quaffle with both hands and walked towards the nearby Enchanting Table.
In less than a minute, all four balls had been re-enchanted.
"Thank you so much, Professor Kayson. Otherwise, these balls could have caused some serious trouble," Madam Hooch said gratefully, carrying the large leather case.
"Madam Hooch, you've misunderstood. It's not that there could have been trouble, there definitely would have been trouble."
If you find this book good, remember to add it to your bookshelf to avoid losing it next time.
