Li Qingxiao was originally a biology researcher who began studying zombies at the outset of the outbreak. She also served as a commander at Blackstone Base, but a power struggle left her targeted and injured; she retreated to a prepared stronghold to continue her research. There, she met the starving Li Mu Chuan and cautiously introduced herself after determining he was not immediately hostile. 17

Li Mu Chuan later obtained a computer for her, allowing her to assemble a working system and resume intensive programming and biological modeling. During this period, Li Qingxiao developed the Gene Immunity Serum, which enhances human immunity and provides temporary protection from disease. 21 23

After Li Mu Chuan disappeared, Li Qingxiao believed she had seen him fall to his death from a laboratory building. When he returned, she had become the armed convoy's cold and authoritative leader; his voice immediately broke her composure, and she personally prevented her guards from firing on him. 94 95

Li Qingxiao waited two years for Li Mu Chuan's return before Tian Li Min exploited her absence and seized her authority.
