Gyarados was a classic example among Pokémon of going from extremely weak to extremely strong. Once it evolved, it was like a fish leaping over the Dragon Gate.
The Gyarados before them was longer and larger than ordinary members of its kind. Its entire body occupied less than half the battlefield, and its savage jaws looked capable of swallowing all three heads of Hydreigon at once without any effort.

The next moment, a gigantic wave nearly ten meters high lifted Gyarados completely into the air before crashing down upon Hydreigon with overwhelming force.
The spectators seated behind Sato subconsciously clenched their fists and curled up.
The towering wave seemed as though it would wash them away along with everything else! Rise! Rise frantically! Without needing Sato's command, Hydreigon immediately drifted diagonally backward. Its three pairs of somewhat skinny black wings frantically flapped, yet it could not build much speed.
