Decisive Foul Play

"It's Misdreavus! Larvitar, Bite!"

Larvitar reacted quickly, its little jaws snapping as it bit towards Misdreavus. Still crying bitterly, Misdreavus could only watch in panic as the gaping mouth came rushing at it.

"Raichu!"

A bolt of electricity suddenly struck Larvitar's only path, stopping the Bite attack. Its owner soon ran over—a Raichu with electricity crackling from its cheeks.

"Larvitar, come back first!"

"Laarvi~"

Larvitar obediently ran back. Electric-type moves had no effect on it, but it refused to admit that it had stopped attacking because it had been scared. How could a future pseudo-legendary be frightened? "Misdree~"

Looking Pitiful, Misdreavus hid behind Raichu, gazing at Sato and Larvitar with teary eyes like a younger sister who had been bullied.

"Raichu!"

As a wild Raichu that had obtained a Thunder Stone, it had both good luck and considerable strength. Seeing its little sister bullied, the hot-tempered Raichu desperately wanted to teach the human before it a lesson.

"Bell?" Bellossom's cute little face rarely turned serious.

Hearing the attack command, Raichu's spirit surged. Intense electric light instantly wrapped around its body before violently bursting forth—Thunderbolt! "Jump away!"

"Ku!"

Zorua was fairly quick and easily dodged the first Thunderbolt, but Raichu seemed to have activated cheats, firing one bolt after another. Zorua was left extremely Dishevelled.

"Dark Pulse, block it!"

"Kuso!"

Seeing that it could no longer evade the next one, Zorua rapidly gathered energy. Just as the Thunderbolt was about to hit it, it finally unleashed Dark Pulse.

"Boom!"

The moves exploded. Zorua, standing too Close Range, was directly blasted away, while Raichu finally stopped attacking and stood where it was, panting heavily.

"Zorua, can you still fight?" Sato frowned. Raichu's strength was somewhat beyond his expectations. Its speed, attack power, stamina, and level suppressed Zorua across the board.

Even after Zorua had weakened Raichu with Scary Face and Fake Tears, challenging a wild Pokemon had actually made them Hit a Snag! "Kuso!"

Its sleek fur had become extremely messy. The Close Range move explosion had left Zorua Seriously Injured, though After All, it had not been hit directly.

"Raichu!"

Raichu came rushing in fiercely, its long lightning-shaped tail even cracking through the air like a whip. It seemed determined to knock Zorua down with its next strike! "Kuku!"

A powerful black glow suddenly emerged from Zorua's body, and its eyes turned blood-red. Sato's eyes lit up. It had mastered a new move!

"Zorua, Foul Play!"

Lightning energy gathered around Raichu's right fist. Perhaps to vent Misdreavus's anger, it actually used Thunder Punch, a move it was not very Good At.

But thanks to Scary Face, Zorua was just a little faster. Foul Play landed first. The two were like master swordsmen in a duel, crossing past each other after their final strike!

"Kuso!"

A burst of electricity suddenly darted through Zorua's body. It had been paralyzed during the Close Combat, but the Next Moment, Raichu slowly collapsed!
